Pastor Donald E. Battle
Speaking God’s Message With Boldness!

Pastor Donald E. Battle is one of the nation’s premier Pastors whose message of
hope, love, and prosperity in God has compelled countless people to pursue God’s
best for their lives. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Pastor Battle met and married
his high school sweetheart and wife of 37 years, Gwen Battle. To their union, they
have been blessed with three lovely daughters, Minister TaVondria Battle (Vonnie B),
Jamie Howard and Christin Smith, all of whom work diligently within the ministry.
Pastors Donald and Gwen are also blessed with six grandchildren.

For six years, Pastor Battle served in the U.S Army as well as 15 years in Georgia law
enforcement as a police detective for the City of Atlanta. He graduated from Georgia
State University with a B.S. in criminal justice. To his educational merit he has also
received a Masters of Divinity and an honorary doctorate degree. Despite his great
success in the law enforcement arena, Pastor Battle could not ignore God’s calling.
Out of obedience and the profound leading of the Holy Spirit, he and his wife co-
founded Divine Faith Baptist Church in 1990. Pastor Battle’s consistent obedience to
God has taken Divine Faith Baptist Church from 60 members to what is now known
as Divine Faith Ministries International (DFMI). With a current membership of over
8,000, DFMI is now one church in three locations: Jonesboro, Buford, and the
Generation Now youth facility also located in Jonesboro.

Equipping disciples for Christ, Divine Faith Ministries International is experiencing
exponential growth both spiritually and physically. The biblical foundation of DFMI is
to teach God’s plan for humanity. The ministry is a model church that expresses God’
s love through community outreach and ministry abroad in Haiti. Through Pastor
Battle’s vision of Joseph’s Warehouse, DFMI has become the number one distributor
of food and clothing in the community of Clayton County. His genuine love for people
and uncompromising message has afforded Pastor Battle the opportunity to minister
throughout the U.S. and abroad; and he continues to operate under the anointing of
Jesus Christ knowing that it is the favor God that has brought him thus far.

Pastor Battle is a true community leader who has served as president of the Policy
Action Committee, for the Association of Christian Ministers of Clayton County. Under
his leadership, the Clayton County Public Schools’ Mentorship Forum was
established. The forum includes County business leaders, state court judges,
politicians and pastors who serve as advisers to assist high school students with
establishing and realizing their goals. Pastor Battle also led the charge to establish a
youth offenders program in Clayton County that encourages state court judges to get
the churches involved with the young adult offenders’ community service program.

As servants of God and of the people in the communities surrounding the ministry,
Pastors Donald and Gwen Battle operate a full service Christian Academy and
School of Biblical Studies. DFMI also has a state of the art television studio where the
Soaring With Eagles Television Broadcast is produced and reaches thousands of
homes weekly. Various recording artists and ministries have utilized the studio for
their recording needs. The studio facility is also home to one of the nation’s most
innovative youth broadcasts, Stir-It-Up TV, hosted by Minister TaVondria Battle also
known to the youth as Vonnie B.

Currently DFMI holds four powerful worship services each Sunday and two midweek
services all of which are streamed live. Also, Pastor Battle hosts early morning
prayer so he can personally touch and agree with his members and global partners
virtually through Justin TV. In a time when the economy has caused businesses and
major corporations to downsize, DFMI is in the process of building a Family Life
Center adjacent to the south church facility, completing renovations to the youth
facility, and has expanded to a new north church facility in Buford, Georgia. Pastors
Donald and Gwen Battle not only teach faith but they live it and are spearheading
these expansion projects debt free!

Pastor Battle respects the mantle of great leadership especially that of his spiritual
father and mentor, Rod Parsley, world-renowned Pastor of World Harvest Church
and Breakthrough Ministries in Columbus, Ohio. Under Pastor Parsley’s tutelage,
Pastor Battle served as the World Harvest Church Ministerial Fellowship South East
Regional Director for the states of Georgia and Florida. He currently serves as the
National Director of WHCMF. In an effort to bring together a covenant fellowship
amongst pastors and leaders, Pastor Battle founded the International Covenant of
Christian Churches organization (I3C).

Pastor Battle’s message of faith and belief that with God ALL things are possible is
what gives him the fervor and fortitude to preach the gospel with boldness! This
awesome man of God continues to speak life to the lost and hope to the broken-
hearted and will not stop until he has impacted the world for Jesus Christ!
